4 C’s that have replaced the 4 P’s in Marketing 3.0

Marketing 3.0 is all about leveraging social networking media. and now it's all about how in the 'hello' are marketers going to change their ideology. The problem here lies in transition from the old ideology to the new. Most businesses have started exploiting this new media just as any other advertising channel, and this, is the worst thing any business could contribute to the online community.

Businesses should understand the following,

The 4 P's of Marketing (price, product, promotion, and place) have now been replaced with 4 C's that include - Customer, Community, Collaboration and Convenience.

Marketing 3.0 is tougher than you think it is, its fast but its reach cannot be determined. Its a lot more worth than traditional media but its value cannot be determined. The problem lies in determining the value of a relationship. For eg: I could meet a man on Twitter residing in another country, share interest and ideas of similar nature and then when I travel, stay in his house! This is the kind of relationship that develops online via social media channels. Businesses need to understand the value of building relationships with the community rather than bombarding them with promotions and forcing them to press the ignore button.

Rounding up again - Remember the 4 C's - Customer, CommunityCollaboration and Convenience.
